Chihuly Standing Chandlier

Students learned how artist Dale Chihuly transforms ordinary materials into extraordinary works of art. We first learned about the scientific properties of glass and the ancient art of glassblowing.After creating their own sculpture by coloring shrink plastic with sharpie markers, they engage in planning an installation of their chandelier.
