Empty Bowl

In 2008, DEMA students participated in a "Read to Feed" program in order to raise money for Heifer International. We also had our very first "Empty Bowl" where students, faculty and friends made a bowl from clay and then sold them on Valentines day. All of the money raised supported our student's contributions to Heifer International(a non-profit organization whose goal is to help end world hunger and poverty through self-reliance & sustainability). It was a huge success and we hope to continue this program year to year.
